Membership in the Union of Maple Spirit Distillers (UDSÉ) is mandatory for any distillery wishing to produce Acerum from Quebec.
The annual fee is $500. It helps support the management, protection, and promotion of Quebec's Acerum, as well as compliance with the appellation's specifications.
The UDSÉ acts as the coordinating body for the sector and regularly organizes collective activities : promotional actions, events, industry representations, and structuring projects aimed at highlighting Acerum, both in Quebec and internationally.
Becoming a member means actively committing to the development of an identity-defining spirit and contributing to the recognition of Acerum as a reference appellation.
